Privacy Policy
Last updated September 6, 2026. In short: this site collects almost nothing, and I do not sell or share what little it does.
Who this is about
This website, hinatacreative.com, is run by Hinata Creative, a one-person business owned by Rio (Taiga) Araki and based in Seattle, WA, United States. If you have a question about anything on this page, email [email protected].
What the contact form collects
If you fill in the contact form, you give me your name, your email address, and whatever you write in the message field. That is the only personal information this site asks you for.
The form also carries a hidden field that no person ever sees. Only automated spam fills it in, and anything that does is discarded without being sent to me.
Your message reaches my inbox through Resend, an email delivery service. A copy of it stays in Resend's own sending records for a while, and the message then sits in my email account like any other email. I use it to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to keep a record of how the conversation started. I do not add you to a mailing list, and I do not sell, rent, or share it with anyone else.
I keep enquiry emails for as long as they are useful, and delete them on request. Ask me and I will confirm when it is done.
Analytics and advertising
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people read, so I know what is worth writing more of. It records things like the page you are on, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you use. Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address.
That analytics account is linked to Google Ads, which is how I advertise this business and measure whether the advertising works. The link lets Google report which ads brought people here, and it can be used to show my ads again to people who have already visited. Google sets its own cookies to do that.
I cannot identify you personally from any of it, and I do not try to. I never see your name, your email address, or a list of the individual people who visited.
If you would rather not be counted, Google offers a browser opt-out, Google's own ad settings let you turn off personalised advertising, and most content blockers stop the whole thing.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. It has no login, no shopping cart, and no comments. The cookies you may pick up here belong to Google and are the ones described just above: one that tells a repeat visit apart from a new one, and one that connects an ad click to a visit. They are not used to work out who you are by name.
What is deliberately absent
- No social media tracking pixels.
- No session recording or heatmap tools.
- No third-party fonts. Typefaces are served from this site's own domain, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you did.
- No mailing list, and no newsletter sign-up anywhere on the site.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, and the contact form runs on Cloudflare too. So both the pages you ask for and the message you send pass through their network. Like any web host, Cloudflare keeps short-lived logs of those requests for security and reliability.
Your rights
You can ask me what personal information I hold about you, ask for a copy, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email [email protected] and I will handle it myself. There is no form and no ticket queue.
If you are in the EU or the UK, the GDPR gives you those rights formally. Most US state privacy laws, California's included, only bind businesses far larger than this one, so they do not apply here. The size of the business does not change the answer: ask, and I will do it.
Children
This is a business-to-business website and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. There is no version history to dig through. The current page is always the whole policy.
